Day 11: Derpy makes amends with Rainbow Dash

I'm so tired... An hour and fifteen minutes for Derpy, and another hour or so for Rainbow.

So many mistakes...

Let's start with Derpy. Her wing is too small/positioned too close to her head. This is a surprisingly hard pose to draw, the arch of the back throws a lot of things out of whack. What a weird saying, it means everything is whack, yet you throw it out of whack... Anyway, back to the drawing... Her face is... alright. Not fantastic, needs a bit more muzzle defining but otherwise it's okay. The eyes are a bit small and squished from the head shape and the mane. The mane that's over her face is pretty close, just a few little details are off. This pose is just... awkward. Also the muffin took about ten seconds to draw. It's apparently a giant muffin as well.

Rainbow on the other hand looks less awkward, but there's more mistakes. First of all, her wing is too big. I realized this halfway through drawing it, but it's 3 in the morning and I'm tired. Her back legs are a bit too skinny, and she needs a bit more girth on her flank and stomach. I like the front foreground leg, it turned out pretty well. The background front leg needs to be a tad shorter, but it works fine for now. Rainbow is a bit too skinny all around. A bit too feminine looking, especially in the nose and jawline. And the neck. Oh god the neck... Rainbow looks like a pony-giraffe! It's kind of funny. I tried to hide it with her mane, but it didn't work. I love Rainbow's mane, I think I did a good job on that one. I also finally did an almost perfect 3/4 view! I even kind of did the face without a reference (except for the eyes) I kind of ran out of room for the tail though, that's why its all squished.

Before drawing I divided the page in half, so I could know how much space I could take up with each pony. Derpy is actually placed very well within the half that I drew her in, Rainbow is the one that's a bit too far left.
